The grand opening of the LOVE HATE sculpture in Chicago. LOVE HATE has toured extensively throughout Europe and is now touring around the United States. Chicago is the 30th location. Join us in experiencing the captivating presence of LOVE HATE in the heart of Lincoln Square. Engage in conversations that delve into the duality of love and hate, and celebrate the collaborative efforts that made this remarkable installation possible. Immerse yourself in the beauty and complexity of this captivating sculpture

Stretching over seven feet tall and spanning approximately 16 feet in length, these imposing steel structures will demand attention and create an awe-inspiring presence in the Western Avenue Brown Line plaza. Mia Florentine Weiss's artistic prowess and meticulous craftsmanship are evident in every detail, encouraging viewers to engage with the sculpture from various angles and explore the interplay between love and hate.

This event also includes special performances by THE CENTER OF PERUVIAN ARTS. The month of July commemorates Peru’s independence day, and to help celebrate this holiday of freedom, members of The Center of Peruvian Arts will perform traditional Peruvian dance, in addition to a small parade around the LOVE HATE sculpture. This cross-cultural event will allow viewers to contemplate ideas of freedom, independence, and love by witnessing the relationship between movement and sculpture.
